Making a claim is easier than you think: what to do and what you'll need

Accidents happen. And when they do, it’s great to have an insurance provider on your side to get you back on your feet as fast as possible. Reaching out initially and making a claim can seem daunting at first, but it’s actually pretty simple. And at BF&M, we give you everything you need to make a claim quickly and easily.

It’s honestly as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Make an inventory of your loss before making a claim
Depending on the type of accident or loss, your inventory will vary. Make sure you have a complete list (or as complete as possible) of everything you’re making a claim for before filing an official claim. The more detailed the better, too.

2. Download a claim form or call for assistance
The first thing we need as a provider is to know what happened. To make that easier for you, we’ve made everything you might need readily available here. If you’ve decided to download a form, all you need to do is complete and sign the claims form and return it. On the other hand, if you call for assistance, all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

3. Be available to answer any additional questions and prepare to receive payment
We mean it – it’s that easy. Depending on the type of accident or loss we may have a few more questions for you, but generally it’s a fairly straightforward process. And at BF&M, if you've set up direct deposit you’ll receive your payment even sooner.

A good insurance provider shouldn’t add stress to an already stressful situation. By knowing how to file and claim, as well as everything you’ll need to make the process as streamline as possible, you won’t be scrambling when you should be recovering. If you have any additional questions about making a claim, we’re always available to provide assistance at +1 441 295 8647 or [email protected].
